Remote Study for International Students

  • The deadline for selecting remote study for the fall is June 26. Students may access the remote study application on their landing page in YES. The application will not be available after June 26.
  • Undergraduate international students who do not have a valid visa for studying in the United States by the remote study deadline of June 26, should select remote study if they intend to be a Vanderbilt University student in the Fall 2020 semester.
  • If an undergraduate international student does not have a visa by June 26, selects remote study, and then receives a valid visa for studying in the United States after the deadline, they may contact the Office of the University Registrar to request a change to on-campus study if they are able to travel to the United States: university.registrar@vanderbilt.edu. Students for whom a change to on-campus study is approved will be placed on a waitlist for housing.
  • Undergraduate international students who currently have a valid visa for study in the United States, are currently residing in another country, and do not believe they will be able to travel to the United States for the Fall 2020 semester, should select remote study if they intend to be a Vanderbilt University student in the Fall 2020 semester.
  • If an undergraduate international student with a valid visa for study in the United States who is currently residing in another country later determines they are able to travel to the United States, they may contact the Office of the University Registrar to request a change to on-campus study:  university.registrar@vanderbilt.edu . Students for whom a change to on-campus study is approved will be placed on a waitlist for housing.
