Degree Verifications

Employers, employment agencies, background screening firms, and similar organizations and
entities that act on behalf of these organizations should request verification of Vanderbilt
degrees and enrollment information through the National Student Clearinghouse.

All others, may fax, call, or mail degree verification requests directly to the University
Registrar’s Office.

When requesting a degree verification, please provide as much of the following information as possible
about the graduate:
• Full name at the time the degree was awarded
• Date of birth
• Dates of attendance
• Vanderbilt degree(s) awarded

If you are requesting the degree verification be faxed or mailed, also please include:
• The address or fax number where the verification is to be sent
• A daytime phone number or e-mail address where you may be reached should
we have questions concerning your request
